Veteran Affairs
Turning a New Page
Often our clients have everything they need to succeed; they just require the resources and support to make a strategic jump. BVB currently provides Federal IT support to the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) HRLOB program for the Operational phase and supported the initial launch of the first commercial Human Resource Line of Business for the VA. Post deployment, our role is to provide recommendations to the Agency using Oracle, industry, and Government best practices in areas of application design, testing delivery, and business process improvement. Our team acts as a liaison for VA in the development of new/updated Federal functionality within the Oracle HCM product. Our experience has helped us assemble a thorough knowledge base including best practices, white papers, tools, and processes, which helps to build more valuable roadmaps to achieve the VA vision with their HRLOB solution. Our reach into the federal community offers insight into technology adoption trends, deployment methods, and government initiatives.

An Innovative Solution
BVB supported GSA, RRB, OPM and NCUA assisting IBM as the integrator moving these 4 federal customers onto IBM’s Shared Service Center Model of PeopleSoft 9.2. BvB worked closely with Agency SME’s and Project Management to guarantee a solid architecture was set in place to migrate the Agencies data on the new IBM platform as well as assisted with Quality Assurance, Governance and Oversight over the entire implementation. BvB assisted as functional, technical, testing, architectural, testing and change management SME's during the implementation and after as the O&M leads. BVB's extensive knowledge of functional processes, conversion and third-party application integration coupled with expertise in PeopleSoft HCM application assisted each Agency in improving the management of Human Capital. BVB continues to manage each Agencies functional requirements as they continue to modernize and grow the HR modernization footprint, always looking for the latest and greatest technologies to keep the PeopleSoft platform modern via Inflight and other third party applications. BVB always focuses on the customers needs focusing on each customer's unique HR and Payroll business processes by detecting current inefficiencies or conflict to help identify new business processes to best maximize the delivered product and to increase operational efficiencies.

Often time's Federal Agencies and Military Industries want to branch into a more modern footprint and want to analyze software solutions that advertise as Federally compliant.  BVB’s management, technical and functional consultants provided a wide array of acumen within HCM applications and assisted NGA with a thorough understanding of the Oracle HCM Saas Solution to access the Agency needs to fit within the Oracle Suite, while assisting NGA with understanding of business areas and processes that can be improved to ensure NGA’s HR Business Model is to help support the missions.  BVB provided knowledge on expert solutions with industry best practices on project and solution management.

DIA
Defense Intelligence Agency
BVB provided core subject matter expertise for functional IT support to the office of Human Resources (OHR) at DIA. The primary role was to advise OHR on Human Resource Information Systems and business processes, along with documenting OHR business requirements so DIA CIO could easily deploy new functionality in a timely manner. Our team provided recommendations for using industry and Government best practices in the areas of organizational structure, management, business process improvement, customer service, governance, and service delivery.  We provided roadmaps, dashboards and whitepapers to assist the CIO in making the best decisions on leading HCM technology. BVB provided DIA with a clear vision to change and adapt to new technology while being restricted in the confines of the DOD space

ARMY

Currently our team supports the US Army Integrated Personnel and Pay system (IPPS-A) to provide program management oversight to deliver a modernized PeopleSoft Human Capital Management system for the one million soldiers. For this engagement the team provides technical oversight and budgeting review for the government in support of the Army's 21st century system modernization.

NAVY
US NAVY
The Navy is undergoing a conversion from their current HCM and Payroll platform to a new HCM suite and solution to ensure Navy Personnel can be hired and paid successfully, timely and efficiently. The Navy, like the Army have large amount of military personnel with complex HR and Payroll scenarios with the mission to serve and pay Navy Personnel. With prolonged timelines and costs, the Navy contracted BvB to do an assessment of the current implementation structure. BvB interviewed functional and technical personnel and assisted the Navy in restructuring it’s implementation approach. BvB is still working with the CACI and Navy teams to ensure that a successful implementation is on the horizon.
